CO-LABS recently led a lab tour at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, known as JILA, on the University of Colorado Boulder’s campus. The tour focused on the CUbit Quantum Initiative and STROBE labs, which have worked on revolutionizing quantum physics research and commercialization. The tour kicked off withDr. Thomas Perkins, the Chair of JILA Fellows, who provided a brief overview of the tour agenda and JILA’s background.
JILA was founded in 1962 as a development center that combined university scientists and federal government staff members with the purpose of training the next generation of scientific leaders.
